Tutorial: Setup GoDaddy Email in Outlook

Eleven simple steps to be able to send and receive your GoDaddy Domain emails:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.
  2. On the “Tools” tab, select “Account Settings…”
  3. In the Account Settings window, click on the E-mail tab and click the “New…” button.
  4. Select Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP. Click next.
  5. Check “Manually configure server settings or additional server types”. Click next.
  6. Select “Internet E-mail”. Click next.
  7. Provide your Name and E-mail address. In “Account type” select “POP3”.
  8. In the “Incoming mail server” option, please enter pop.secureserver.net as your incoming mail.
  9. In the “Outgoing mail server (SMTP)” option, provide smtp.secureserver.net as your outgoing mail server. 
  10. For the Account name and Password boxes, type your email address and password, and then click Next. 
  11. Now click Finish. 

You should now be able to successfully send and receive emails from your Outlook for your GoDaddy domain email account.

Ekobit TeamCompanion v2.2 Released

Ekobit recently released a new version of TeamCompanion. Now in version 2.2, this cool add-in allows you to integrate e-mail and Outlook with Team Foundation Server. This minor version release aims essentially for the improvement of usability and user experience.

Yammer Outlook Plugin released

Following a partnership between Microsoft and Yammer, the Yammer Outlook plugin for Outlook 2007 was released recently. Using this plugin, Outlook users can now post status updates, view feeds, reply to messages, upload attachments, send messages to Yammer groups, and invite colleagues to join Yammer from within their inbox.

Microsoft Office Outlook Connector 12.1 available

Two betas later, the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector 12.1 has finally arrived. This is free add-in that allows you to integrate your Windows Live Hotmail and Windows Live Calendar within Outlook. In this new release, the connector is said to be faster and more robust, hopefully along with some new features.

With Microsoft Office Outlook Connector, you can use Microsoft Office Outlook 2003 or Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 to access and manage your Microsoft Windows Live Hotmail or Microsoft Office Live Mail accounts, including e-mail messages, contacts and calendars for free!

Outlook Connector enables you to use your Live Hotmail accounts within Outlook:

  • Read and send your Office Live Mail/Windows Live Hotmail e-mail messages.
  • Manage your contacts in Windows Live Hotmail.
  • Use advanced options for blocking junk e-mail messages.
  • Manage multiple e-mail accounts in one place.
  • Manage, and synchronize multiple calendars, including shared calendars to Windows Live Calendar from Outlook.
